Charles Dickens Desk to be Auctioned by Christies

The desk where Charles Dickens penned Great Expectations is to go up for auction by Christie's in London. The desk, and chair, are believed to be worth around £80,000. The furniture was donated by Dicken's relatives and all proceeds from the sale will go to the restoration of Great Ormand Street Children's Hospital.
